The Vest Says It All

I've been involved with a non-government organization for several years now. Our advocacy is women empowerment and informed choice. New members are issued a Cool Vest bearing our organization's logo. Through the years, we have grown and our regular outreach programs continue to educate mothers and even single women on how to manage and handle a family. Even husbands have shown interest in our seminars. We do have male members too and they also receive Cool Vests but with a different color, a more masculine one. My husband is one of our avid supporters. His company often give donations for our programs.

It is very fulfilling to be able to educate women of their rights, their health and their role in society. We also have support groups for single mothers and battered women. One does not have to suffer in silence or be at a loss when confronted with family and marital issues. The family is the basic unit of society. It has to be strong and should founded on values. We however do not have any religious sects involved with our organization. We would like to be perceived as independent and unbiased. I hope we can reach more women and help families who are in need.

A Beautiful Wedding

My daughter is lucky to have a very good friend who happens to be an event manager. They have known each other since high school and Lou promised her that once she becomes an events coordinator, she'll be the one to take care of my daughter's wedding.  Now she is an expert when it comes to organizing corporate events, weddings, and even concerts and social events.

When my daughter and her husband got married last March, her friend did all the event management and planning.  She and her long-time boyfriend were scheduled to board the cruise ship last April so they decided to get married before leaving.  The couple was set on having just a civil wedding and a quiet reception because there was so little time, but her best friend insisted that she can arrange for a church or chapel wedding.

With so little time, her best friend did miracles and produced a simple yet elegant wedding.  From the church to the reception and even the flowers and gowns, she was able to arrange all these in a hurry.  No wonder her boss is all praises to her.  She found a jewel in this girl.  Lou is well connected; she was able to hire a florist and a Dj in so little time.  The wedding was beautiful and truly memorable.  Lou made her best friend the happiest by giving her a wonderful wedding.

Wireless Temperature Monitoring Device

I wasn't aware that restaurants now are using a wireless temperature monitoring device.  My family used to be involved in the restaurant business and we've never had this before.  We used to get this service from a temperature monitoring company who checks the restaurant and the food storage from time to time.  I only heard from a friend who owns Cafe Monaco that she uses this now.  Well, that's great because aside from saving money from hiring a company to do this for you, you can now keep track of your place's temperature any time.  I think even other establishments are using this device.
